Pope Leo XIV has warned that the future of humanity is "tragically at risk" due to armed conflicts in the world. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on April 21.

"The fate of humanity risks being tragically jeopardized if the course of assuming political responsibility is not changed and respect for institutions and international agreements is not respected," the Pope said during a visit to Equatorial Guinea.

In addition, according to the pontiff, the future of the world is negatively affected by armed conflicts. Earlier, Leo XIV stated that many people in the world "are exploited by authoritarian regimes and deceived by the rich."

Leo XIV said on April 7 that US President Donald Trump's threats against Iran and its people were completely unacceptable. At the same time, he appealed to representatives of the international community to think about the consequences of a possible military clash for civilians.
