Mishustin announced the preservation of payments to large families when the income level is exceeded

Large families in Russia will continue to receive a monthly allowance in connection with the birth and upbringing of a child, even if the income criteria are slightly exceeded. This was announced on April 21 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"President [of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin] has instructed to improve approaches to providing single benefits to large families so that the right to it remains even with a slight discrepancy in income requirements," the prime minister said at a meeting of the Russian government.

He also noted that the law has already been signed by Putin and now the government has approved a resolution aimed at its implementation.

According to him, a legislative framework has already been formed in Russia so that large families who have already been paid can continue to receive it. He clarified that if the average per capita family income exceeds the established criteria by less than 10%, then social support for such people will not be canceled immediately, but will be extended for another year.

The day before, Mishustin announced that the Russian government had simplified the provision of medicines for children from large families. According to him, Russia has built a comprehensive social protection system covering various areas: payments to parents, benefits for utilities, and additional benefits for pensions.

On April 14, State Duma deputy Sergei Kolunov said that starting from April 3, it is forbidden to withdraw from Russian large families the only vehicle for debts, as well as the land received as state support. He recalled that a family with at least three children is considered to have many children in the Russian Federation. At the same time, both relatives and adopted children, as well as wards, are taken into account. The status of a large family is indefinite.
