Every second driver in Russia has agreed to try a car subscription.
More than half of the Russians surveyed (54%) are ready to use a car subscription service in the future. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by Citydrive together with the A2 analytical agency.:Research, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 22.
The results showed that young people between the ages of 18 and 35 are mostly well aware of this option. Older people are less familiar with this format and prefer traditional car ownership.
Among the main advantages of a subscription, motorists note the lack of worries about repairs and maintenance — this factor is highlighted by 52% of respondents, mostly representatives of the older generation (over 45 years old). For young users (25-34 years old), flexibility of choice and the ability to test different models is important, and for some, cost savings are important. The disadvantages most often include a limited choice of cars, high prices and lack of ownership rights.
In terms of rental terms, monthly and quarterly options are in the lead: 37% of women took a car for a month, and 29% of men — for a quarter. At the same time, 12% of users subscribed for a year at once. As for buying a car through a subscription, 34% of respondents are ready to consider such an opportunity in the future. People aged 35-44 show the greatest interest: for them, personal financial circumstances can be a decisive factor.
Citydrive noted that the possibility of buying a car after the end of the subscription allows you to first evaluate the car in real-world operating conditions. This gives the user additional time to make a decision and simplifies the purchase process.
Earlier, on April 15, it was reported that residents of Moscow and the Moscow region will be able to rent a domestic Atom electric car for a long-term subscription. This allows you to use the car for several months to several years and pay only a fixed monthly amount.
