A passenger car collided with a truck on a highway in the Trans-Baikal Territory. One person died.

The accident occurred on the federal highway R-258 in the territory of the Uletovsky district. According to ChitaMedia news agency, the Mitsubishi truck driver lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, as a result of which he collided with a Toyota Corolla Fielder.

The driver of the car died on the spot. An accident investigation is underway.

Over the weekend, 479 road accidents occurred in Russia, in which 46 people were killed and 593 injured.
