Matvienko proposed to complicate the process of divorce

The divorce procedure should not be too simple. This was stated on April 20 by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko at the III All—Russian Municipal Forum "Small Motherland - the Strength of Russia" at the Rossiya National Center.

"A woman comes to have an abortion, but there is a week of silence, psychologists and doctors are working, they explain that if she has [an abortion], she will regret it all her life. The same should be applied to the divorce process. Well, they got excited, they quarreled, and the children are suffering," she said.
