The State Duma told about the postponement of pension payments due to the May holidays

The schedule for the payment of pensions and child benefits will be adjusted due to the May holidays. This was announced on April 20 by State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party, Deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes Kaplan Panes.

"Early payment of a pension for May is due only to those who have fulfilled two conditions: the pension comes through the bank to the Mir card or account, and the usual transfer date falls on May 1-4. The money will be transferred to such pensioners before April 30," he said in a conversation with Lenta.ru .

According to Panes, it does not matter whether the pension is insurance, social, disability or survivor's pension. For pensioners receiving payments by Russian Post, delivery without changes will begin on May 2-3 and last until May 25.

If the usual payment date falls on a non-working day, the parliamentarian pointed out, the money will be transferred on the previous working day. In May 2026: for the date May 3 — April 30, for May 9, 10 and 11 — May 8, for May 16 and 17 — May 15, for May 23 and 24 — May 22.

The transfer will also affect families with children. So, in the Sverdlovsk Region, a single benefit will be transferred on April 29, a payment from the maternity capital on May 5, and a care allowance for working parents on May 8. Dates may vary in other regions. Panes stressed that early admission is a technical transfer, not an additional payment.

Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, said on April 9 that certain categories of Russian citizens have the right to receive an insurance pension and a state disability pension at the same time. According to the MP, widows of deceased servicemen who have not remarried, disabled children and parents of deceased military personnel are also eligible for double payments.
