In 2025, over 30 thousand patents were registered in Russia, and almost a third of them (9.7 thousand) are in the capital. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in the IACH.

The head of the capital called assistance to enterprises in registering and commercializing intellectual property one of the key tasks within the framework of the Business Development Strategy and Innovation Support until 2030. So, thanks to the services of the Moscow Innovation Cluster, 34% of Moscow patents were registered last year, Sobyanin said.

For example, a resident of the Lomonosov cluster has developed and patented a technology for drying blood plasma. The solution allows you to turn liquid plasma into a powder that retains all its useful properties and can be stored without special conditions. The IT company, after consulting on intellectual property management, has patented a remote vehicle inspection program.

The cluster's support measures include educational programs on intellectual property management and expert advice on patenting issues. In addition, entrepreneurs can receive grants of up to 5 million rubles per year for patenting in Russia and abroad, as well as preferential loans secured by intellectual property.

"We continue to develop high—tech businesses and support the inventors of the capital," Sobyanin stressed.
