Sobyanin summed up the results of the Easter Gift Festival

As part of the Easter Gift festival, volunteers collected more than 5,000 gifts for military personnel and children from new regions. The business participating in the festival also donated part of the proceeds to charity, according to the channel of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin's personal blog in the MAX messenger.

"The funds raised will be used to help sick children, lonely elderly people and other good deeds," the mayor said in his blog.

The Easter Gift Charity Festival was held in Moscow from April 11 to 19. Visitors to more than 30 festival venues in the center and districts of the capital got acquainted with Easter traditions, made souvenirs, and learned how to bake cakes.

About 40 charitable organizations participated in the festival. Guests could support foundations, take part in relief campaigns, and take a pet from a shelter as part of the "Mosquito x Four-Legged Friend" project. The festival helped 51 animals find their home, Sobyanin said.

Also during the festival, the tournament "The strongest resident of the district" was held at 27 venues of the Moscow Seasons. The participants competed in strength and functional disciplines.
