Nine people were injured in a five-car accident in the Leningrad region.

A massive road accident involving five cars occurred in the Leningrad region, as a result of which nine people were injured. Two of them were hospitalized in the central regional hospital of Tosno. This was announced on April 20 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region.

"Nine people were previously injured: two were hospitalized," the statement said.

The collision occurred between a Mercedes minibus, Sitrak and DAF trucks, as well as Renault Logan and Chery passenger cars. It is specified that police officers and ambulance crews are working at the scene.

The accident happened on the 99th kilometer of the A-120 highway in the Tosnensky district while driving towards Gatchina. Due to the lane repairs, reverse traffic has been organized.
