Footage has emerged of the situation in Lebanon's Nabatiya after Israeli airstrikes
Large-scale destruction has been recorded in the city of Nabatiya in southern Lebanon after Israeli airstrikes. At the same time, the locals retain the will to live. The situation in the village that was attacked on April 19 was shown to Izvestia by the Al Mayadeen TV channel.
"When I came to the store to clean, work, and fix everything, to be honest, several people called me in the morning. They needed bouquets of flowers to lay them on their children, the martyrs," the store owner said.
After the shelling and destruction, local residents begin to return to work and daily life.
"Inside the store, the smell of flowers mixes with the smell of destruction and debris. And here the owner is preparing another bouquet," said Khaled Khalil, a correspondent for the TV channel.
According to the owner of the flower shop, the mother of one of the victims asked to make this bouquet. At the same time, another order came from a man who is going to Beirut and plans to visit his father's grave.
"A scene reflecting the scale of the destruction, but on the other hand, a scene that, according to local residents, shows a culture of life and resilience," the journalist concluded.
On the same day, Al Mayadeeen reported to Izvestia that some of the residents who lived in areas of Lebanon destroyed by airstrikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had returned to their homes. Israeli strikes failed to break the residents of the southern suburbs of Beirut. For the second day in a row, families have been returning to assess the damage and confirm that this land belongs to them.
