The astronomer told the details about the asteroid Apophis
The large asteroid Apophis, which will be 32,000 km from Earth on April 13, 2029, will be as bright as the stars in the Big Dipper. This was announced on April 19 by Sergey Yazev, a leading researcher at the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor at Irkutsk State University.
"The asteroid will be visible as a star of the third magnitude, approximately like the stars in the bucket of the Big Dipper. This means that the object can be seen even with the naked eye, although binoculars, of course, will be better visible, " said Yazev in an interview with TASS.
