Some of the residents who lived in areas of Lebanon destroyed by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) airstrikes have returned to their homes. The corresponding footage was shared with Izvestia on April 19 by Al Mayadeeen TV channel.

"We are located in the village of Kfar Sir. Numerous Israeli airstrikes have been carried out in this area, as a result of which large-scale destruction has been recorded: many residential buildings have been damaged, and some houses have been completely razed to the ground...> Residents keep returning to the area," described correspondent Haidar Khalil.

One of the returning women, commenting on what was happening, stated that she and her compatriots had regained their land with their heads held high. This gesture, she added, is dedicated to all those people who died as a result of Israeli actions.

In turn, Al Mayadeen correspondent Hussein Baddah said that the Israeli strikes failed to break the residents of the southern suburbs of Beirut. According to him, for the second day in a row, families have been returning to assess the damage and confirm that this land belongs to them.

"We're going back. The house is destroyed — it's not a problem, everything can be restored. The main thing is to maintain dignity and position, not to step back. Lebanon is strong, has dignity, honor," said a local resident.

On the same day, it became known that the Israeli military was purposefully destroying through explosions those houses of Lebanese civilians located in the southern part of the republic. It was noted that the IDF military, whose actions, according to the latest data, killed 2,294 people in the region, mined entire streets and villages.

On April 17, the Lebanese army, on the day when an agreement was reached between the parties on a temporary ceasefire for a period of 10 days, reported a violation of this regime by Tel Aviv. At the same time, it was emphasized that representatives of the Lebanese side are constantly monitoring the situation in their country.
