The European Union (EU) would have unblocked the funds for a loan to Ukraine anyway, even without the participation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. This was announced on April 19 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Vesti news agency journalist Pavel Zarubin.

"One way or another, they would have found a way to unlock this money. With Orban or without Orban. There is no need to harbor any illusions about this," he said.
