Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have fired 48 artillery strikes at the resettled border areas of the Kursk region, and 54 Ukrainian drones have also been shot down. This was announced on April 19 by the governor of the region, Alexander Khinstein.

"Summary of the operational situation in the Kursk region over the past day. In total, 54 enemy drones of various types were shot down between 09:00 on April 18 and 07:00 on April 19. 48 times the enemy used artillery on the resettled areas. Drones attacked the territory of the region 16 times using explosive devices," Khinstein wrote on the MACH messenger.

According to him, three people were injured near the village of Sukhaya in the Rylsky district, and they were taken to the Kursk regional hospital. The car is riddled with shrapnel. The roof of a house in the village of Krupets was damaged. In the village of Mikhaylovka, windows were broken, the facade was cut off and the roof was damaged. In the village of Rzhava, Glushkovsky district, two households were destroyed by fire.

On the same day, the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were systematically attacking civilian targets in the frontline town of Alyoshka, as a result of which all schools and kindergartens were virtually destroyed. He clarified that despite this, life in the city continues.
