On April 19, the head of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, supported the refusal of the US Department of Justice to help France in the investigation against the social network X (ex. Twitter), which is owned by American billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk.

"Bravo! We must defend freedom of expression at all costs from the increasingly tyrannical and freedom—destroying Euromakronist government!" wrote Philippot on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician also called the arguments of the US Department of Justice convincing, in which the agency referred to a contradiction to the US constitution and called the investigation politically motivated.

On February 3, the French prosecutor's office began conducting searches in the offices of X. It was noted that they were conducted together with employees of the National Cyber Division and Interpol.

The next day, Musk said that the search of the Paris office of the social network X was a political attack. At the same time, Pavel Durov called France an unfree country.
