Fico and Gaspar intend to attend Victory Day celebrations in Moscow

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and Deputy Speaker of the country's parliament Tibor Gaspar plan to attend Victory Day events on May 9 in Moscow. This was announced by Gaspar himself on April 19.

"An official visit by Prime Minister Robert Fico to celebrate Victory Day is planned in the near future," he told RIA Novosti.

According to the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, he will participate in the official delegation as Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic.

On April 14, it was also reported that Fico intends to hold a personal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in May during his visit to the Victory Day Parade in Moscow. The leaders of the two countries are expected to discuss oil and gas supplies at the meeting.

On April 12, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko also confirmed his participation in the upcoming Victory Day parade. In addition, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on April 5 that the Kremlin was preparing to celebrate Victory Day this year.
