The fiance of cancer—stricken blogger Lercek (real name - Valeria Chekalina) Luis Squicciriani drew attention to the photo of his bride generated by artificial intelligence in a post on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). The generated photo was attached to her publication by blogger Alexandra Adonyeva. In the post, she talked about Chekalina's trials, but the use of digital technology drew criticism from close friends. Luis Squicciarini demanded that the author of the post clarify the origin of the images so as not to mislead the audience.

"Please write and fix in the comment that this is an AI. Don't mislead people!" said Lercek's fiance.

After Squicciriani's demand, Adonyeva admitted the mistake. She posted a comment indicating the use of neural networks when creating an image. At the same time, Adonyeva noted that the photo was not hers and had already been circulated on the Internet.

Producer Yana Rudkovskaya posted a post in support of Chekalina on her Telegram channel. She called on the blogger to find the strength to fight the disease for the sake of the future and children, noted how quickly success can give way to hardships, and promised to visit Lercek in the hospital. The producer also spoke about the verdict of the blogger's ex-husband Artyom Chekalin, expressing hope for his revision and recalling that the family had fully repaid its debts to the state.

Lerchek's health status

Valeria Chekalina is in the Blokhin Cancer Center. She was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer. The therapy is divided into nine stages, during which chemotherapeutic drugs are used. A special venous port was installed in the blogger's neck area to administer drugs.

During treatment, Lercek experienced serious complications, including partial loss of vision in one eye and movement problems. Due to hair loss as a result of the procedures, she started using a wig. The patient's state of health was captured by photographer Georgy Kamaev, who published pictures from the clinic. Despite feeling unwell, the blogger went to a work meeting after the hospital.
