The cause of the accident in the Trans-Baikal Territory, where a bus carrying Chinese citizens overturned, was allegedly caused by adverse weather conditions. This was announced by Governor Alexander Osipov on April 19 in his Telegram channel.

"Presumably, due to adverse weather conditions, the bus driver lost control, after which the bus left the road and overturned," Osipov wrote.
