A ninth-grader who started shooting at a school was detained in Ukraine.

A court in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine has taken into custody a schoolboy who had previously staged a shooting at an educational institution. This was announced on April 18 by the regional prosecutor's office in the Telegram channel.

"A suspect who started shooting at a school has been taken into custody in Transcarpathia. At the request of the juvenile prosecutor of the Uzhhorod district prosecutor's office, the investigating judge of the Uzhhorod district court chose a preventive measure for the suspect — detention for a period of 60 days without the possibility of bail," the department said.
