The marches of former SS men and the monument war cannot be justified. This was announced on April 19 in connection with the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"We see how the war with monuments and memorials in honor of the fighters against Nazism is gaining momentum in some countries <...> These actions cannot be justified, no matter what geopolitical considerations may be behind them," she concluded in an interview with RIA Novosti.
