A Polish citizen was detained in Germany on suspicion of installing a replica of the gates of Auschwitz.

In Eggenfelden, Germany, a suspect was detained for installing a replica of the gates of the Auschwitz concentration camp in front of the tax office building. This was reported on April 18 by the newspaper Passauer Neue Presse.

"After the discovery of banned Nazi symbols on the territory of the city of Eggenfelden, the police identified the suspect. He turned out to be a 33-year-old Polish citizen living in the Passau area," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, the man's apartment was searched, during which objects with Nazi symbols and a mobile phone were seized. In addition, regardless of the current charges, an arrest warrant has already been issued in the name of the 33-year-old man, which was executed during the search.
