Actor Okhlobystin's father returned 90% of wounded pilots to service during the Second World War

The father of actor Ivan Okhlobystin, colonel of the medical service Ivan Okhlobystin during the Great Patriotic War (WWII) was able to bring back 90% of the wounded pilots of the aviation Smolensk corps, for which he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree. This became known from an archival document on the portal "Memory of the People".

"The treatment of wounded aircrew is such that 90% have been returned to service. I have achieved the maximum reduction in each case in the units due to special methods of setting up preventive and emergency care," the document says.

At the time of receiving the order, Ivan Ivanovich Okhlobystin held the rank of Guard colonel of the medical service.
