The head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, is exceeding her powers, allegedly trying to act in the interests of the European Union (EU) countries. This was stated on April 18 by Charles de Gaulle, president of the Foundation for Peace and Friendship between Nations Pierre de Gaulle in an interview with TASS.

"We have the president of the European Commission, who pretends to act on behalf of European countries, appropriating powers that she does not have," he said.

According to de Gaulle, the head of the European Commission is trying to solve the problems of energy independence of the countries of the association, but she herself is in a vulnerable position.

According to the grandson of Charles de Gaulle, France should give priority to the well-being of its own population and abandon thoughtless policies in the spirit of Euro-Atlanticism.
