Sapper Kalinin cleared the route for the passage of Russian attack aircraft
Sapper Junior Sergeant Dmitry Kalinin conducted mine clearance of the area for the passage of Russian assault units. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation on April 18.
Kalinin secretly made his way to the mined area. Remaining unnoticed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), he defused standard ammunition and several improvised explosive devices encountered on the route. Thanks to the high-quality work carried out, the Russian attack aircraft were able to safely advance through the cleared area and break through the enemy's defenses.
The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage of the squad commander, Junior Sergeant Ranis Akhmedzhanov, who led the assault on the AFU stronghold.
Having quickly and without losses knocked out the enemy from the stronghold, Akhmedzhanov distributed firepower around the perimeter so as to take into account all possible directions that the enemy could choose for a counterattack. The group managed to organize camouflaged firing points before the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to regain control of Opornik. As a result, the enemy was forced to retreat with heavy losses of personnel.
On April 17, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry told how Second Lieutenant Ilshat Valiev commanded a motorized rifle platoon during the assault on the AFU stronghold. As a result, it was possible not only to occupy the AFU stronghold, but also to eliminate the UAV crew, as well as enemy personnel.
