On April 17, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, leader of the Polish opposition and chairman of the Law and Justice Party (PiS), apologized for spreading fake information that Peter Magyar, leader of the Hungarian Tisa party, allegedly fried a dog in a microwave oven.

"It was information that functioned very intensively in the public space. It turned out to be untrue," Kaczynski said when asked by reporters if he was sure of his words.
