The number of victims of Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon has increased to 2,294 people.

Israeli strikes on Lebanese territory have killed 2,294 people since March 2. This was announced by the Lebanese Ministry of Health on April 17.

"Since March 2 last month, 2,294 people have been killed and 7,544 injured as a result of Israeli aggression against the country," Al Jazeera TV channel quoted the text of the message.

At the same time, the Hezbollah group confirmed its readiness to observe the ceasefire regime, which Lebanon had agreed with Israel.

Hezbollah does not intend to disarm as long as Israeli troops continue to occupy the territory of the republic.

The truce between Israel and Lebanon for a period of 10 days came into force at 0:00 Moscow time on the same day. Prior to that, on April 16, US President Donald Trump announced that the parties had agreed to a cease-fire after trilateral negotiations with the participation of the United States.

Later, the Lebanese Army's press service also stated that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had violated the ceasefire. The agency also noted that the situation is monitored around the clock on the territory of the state. Trump also said that he personally forbade Israel from further attacks on Lebanon.
