Supporters of the leader of the Strong Armenia party Samvel Karapetyan are detained outside the Anti-Corruption Court in Yerevan. Footage from the scene is published by Izvestia on April 17.

"The situation at the Anti-Corruption Court escalated at some point, police officers quickly dispersed a group of Samvel Karapetyan's supporters who were standing on this section of the road and handed them over to various police units," correspondent Garik Abelian reported.

The published footage shows a march of supporters, as well as several episodes of people being detained.

Earlier that day, it became known that law enforcement officers had detained 17 supporters of Karapetyan. The day before, 15 more supporters and members of the Strong Armenia party were detained. It was noted that one of them has already been charged with a ban on charitable activities.

On March 13, the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia issued a decision to extend Karapetyan's house arrest for a month, accusing him of calling for the overthrow of power in the republic and financial fraud.

On April 15, Karapetyan announced that he had begun the procedure of renouncing all foreign citizenship, including Russian and Cypriot.
