The Israeli army violated the ceasefire by opening artillery fire on the Lebanese border town of Hiyam. This was reported on April 17 in the Telegram channel of the Lebanese national agency NNA.

According to the agency, five shells were fired at the settlement. It is noted that the actions of the Israeli artillery are a violation of the ceasefire agreement announced the day before.

Israel and the Hezbollah movement on Thursday evening confirmed their agreement to a ten-day regime of silence. The agreement came into force on Friday at 00:00 Moscow time.
