The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use homemade mines disguised as household items such as cans of energy drinks and boxes of sweets. This was announced on April 17 by a sniper of the Marine Corps unit operating as part of the Center group of forces, with the call sign Fighter.

According to a soldier of the 61st Guards Marine Brigade, the enemy intentionally gives explosive devices the appearance of things that can attract the attention of fighters.

"The enemy uses improvised mines disguised as a can of energy drink, a magazine from a vending machine, packs of sweets or chocolate," he told RIA Novosti.

As the fighter noted, this method of mining is designed primarily for the emotional state of military personnel in the combat zone.

"The very thing that a person wants, but cannot afford it on combat missions. They do these things on purpose, as a psychological blow," the sniper emphasized.
