- The Russian Armed Forces used a drone to deliver medicines to the peaceful residents of Konstantinovka
Russian military personnel, using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), delivered vital medicines to the peaceful residents of Konstantinovka, who asked for it, leaving a message on the asphalt. A paramedic from the intelligence unit of the 3rd Army Corps with the call sign Cobra told Izvestia about this on April 16.
She said that during aerial reconnaissance in the village, an inscription was found on the asphalt, in which civilians asked for help. The message said that people with asthma need medications euphyllin and salbutamol.
"These are vital drugs, without which a person can simply die," she told Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov.
The situation was immediately reported to the corps command. After that, the staff was tasked with collecting parcels with all the necessary drugs. In total, three broadcasts were prepared with the expectation that at least one of the kits with vital medicines would definitely reach civilians.
"Hello! We saw your message written on the asphalt, and we can't stay away. If you need anything, write to us, we will definitely help you. We are handing you the medicine from the Russian Army soldiers," the message said, sent along with the boxes of drugs.
The packages included inhalers, IVs, and pills. Additionally, the military personnel put sweets in the transfer. On April 15, a drone operator with the call sign Altai delivered all this to the exact address.
"The commander set the task: it must be delivered at any cost. <...> When he landed, it was clear that people came up and picked up [the parcel]. And then the emotions overwhelmed me," the fighter recalls.
After some time, the UAV operators noticed that a new inscription "Thank you!" was left in large letters at the same house.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on April 12 that the Russian Army had to liberate 17-18% of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). According to him, this will mean entering the administrative borders of the region. The Russian president's spokesman also added that the Russian Armed Forces (AF) continue to move forward.
