Israel and Lebanon have agreed on a ten-day ceasefire. This was announced on April 16 by US President Donald Trump.

According to the American leader, the agreement on the beginning of the truce was reached during his talks with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump noted that representatives of the two countries met in Washington for the first time in 34 years with the participation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
