The prosecutor's office has approved an indictment against dog thief Sergei Pai, accused of cruelty to animals and theft that caused significant damage to a citizen. The case is being referred to the court. A source told Izvestia about this on April 16.

"He admitted his guilt. He protects his family, he allegedly intimidated them, and they couldn't do anything," the source said earlier.

The Shcherbinsky court of Moscow on November 12 last year arrested Pai in the case of theft and brutal murder of a dog. It was noted that the defendant was near a garage box on Flotskaya Street in Shcherbinka, where he lured a dog, abducted it and fled in a car. Later, he inflicted life-threatening injuries on the animal.

The Moscow City Court rejected Pai's appeal in December. A source familiar with the process said: Pai stated that he killed the dog allegedly for the sake of treating his sick daughter.
