During the entire period of work in the area of the special military operation, employees of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) provided medical care to more than 190 thousand victims. This was announced on April 16 by Veronika Skvortsova, head of the agency, at the final board of the FMBA, "Preserving traditions. We are ahead of time."

"For the entire period of work in the SVO zone and in the adjacent territories, consolidated medical units of the FMBA provided medical care to more than 191 thousand victims, an increase of 45% in the total number of victims over the year," Skvortsova said.

According to her, doctors performed almost 15,000 surgical procedures. The operational activity index increased by 53%, while the share of high-tech operations increased locally. Skvortsova stressed that the approach of specialized assistance to the front has reduced the mortality rate among the wounded to 0.1%.

In 2025, five combined FMBA detachments carried out medical and sanitary measures in frontline areas. They are stationed in Donetsk, Mariupol, Energodar, Krasnoperekopsk and the Kursk region.

"Consolidated medical teams were retrofitted with mobile chemical and toxicological laboratories, armored off-road medical vehicles "Buran", specialized ambulances with concealed reservations," — said the head of the FMBA.

On March 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that assistance to the participants of the SVR and their families should reach everyone without failures. The Head of State called for paying the most serious attention to the problems faced by servicemen and their loved ones.
