Doctors from the American charity organization Cardiac Alliance have been forced to cancel trips to Syria and Iraq due to escalating tensions in the Middle East. This was announced on April 16 by the head of the medical group, Bill Novik, a well-known pediatric cardiac surgeon from the USA.

"We were going to go to Syria just when this nonsense broke out between the United States, Israel and Iran on February 28. Our plane was already preparing to take off from Istanbul," the doctor said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
