Private Khatenov broke into the trench and destroyed the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Guard Private Yuriy Khatenov, as part of the head patrol group, participated in the storming of a fortified position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation on April 16.

Khatenov was among the first to break into the Ukrainian Armed Forces trench and eliminate several opponents with an AK-74 assault rifle. This made it possible to disrupt the control of the enemy's unit and suppress its resistance, which eventually contributed to the capture of the AFU stronghold.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the high professionalism of Guard Sergeant Major Bolat Chypsinak, who commanded the crew of the T-80BV tank and provided support to motorized rifle units.

The crew used the data provided by the calculation of the Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone to select an advantageous position and aim at the target. During the combat operation, the tank fired eight rounds of armor-piercing and high-explosive shells, destroying two firing structures and enemy personnel.
