A court in Moscow will consider the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office for the seizure of 56 objects of the former head of the Moscow Regional Customs Vyacheslav Romanovsky and members of his family. This was reported on April 15 in the press service of the Zelenograd district Court.
"The plaintiff demands that 56 objects of Romanovsky's movable and immovable property, members of his family and trusted persons, including residential and non-residential premises, land plots, premium class cars with a total value of more than 500 million rubles, be converted into state income," the source told RIA Novosti.
As stated in the anti-corruption lawsuit, during his tenure as head of the Moscow Regional Customs, Romanovsky bought commercial premises in Stavropol, where he organized a network of fitness centers. He participated in business activities through trusted representatives and family members.
The chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, with the consent of the Higher Qualification Board of Judges of the Russian Federation, opened criminal cases against two former judges of the Smolninsky District Court of St. Petersburg a day earlier. Retired judge Karine Golikova is suspected of taking a particularly large bribe (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), former chairman of the same court Valery Tarasov is suspected of mediating bribery (part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
