Russia will highly appreciate Magyar's possible decision on dialogue with Moscow
The Kremlin does not know whether Hungary's new prime Minister, Peter Magyar, will engage in dialogue with Russia, as current Prime Minister Viktor Orban did, but they would appreciate such a step. This was stated on April 15 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with India Today TV channel.
"Orban, unlike other EU leaders, has spoken to us. <...> We do not know if his successor will do the same. If he does the same, we will appreciate it, and it will help us solve problems and better respond to the key interests of the peoples of Hungary and Russia," Peskov said.
