Electric scooter rental will be suspended in Ramenskoye district from April 20.
Starting from April 20, short-term rental of electric scooters will be prohibited within the borders of Ramenskoye District. This decision was made by the Commission on Road Safety. This was announced on April 15 by the press service of the district administration.
"The reason was systematic violations of parking rules, lack of control by operators and a direct threat to pedestrian safety on sidewalks," the report says.
In order to return to work, companies are required to coordinate clear parking spaces with the administration and sign an agreement on strict compliance with the rules, the district administration noted.
The district authorities emphasized that modern transport should not create obstacles and dangerous situations for pedestrians.
Prior to that, on April 2, Mikhail Sobolev, the head of the city district, announced a ban on the rental of electric scooters and other means of individual mobility (SIM) on the territory of Kotelniki. The head of the Lyubertsy district, Vladimir Volkov, announced restrictions on the operation of electric scooter rental companies on April 1.
