A week-long ceasefire will be declared in Lebanon at night.
In Lebanon, a week-long cease-fire between Lebanon and Israel has been imposed since the night of April 16. This was reported by Al Mayadeen TV channel.
A senior Iranian political and security source told Al-Mayadeen on Wednesday that "with the subsequent suppression and pressure from Iran, a cease-fire will be approved in Lebanon starting tonight," the report said.
According to the TV channel, the truce will remain in effect until the ceasefire between Iran and the United States expires.
At the same time, as the source notes, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may disrupt this agreement.
As Al Mayadeen correspondent Mohammad Karim reported on the same day, during the trilateral negotiations on the settlement of the conflict between Lebanon and Israel, the possibility of a ceasefire was never mentioned.
Marwan Abdullah, the head of the Kataib party's foreign relations department, said on the same day that the Lebanese parliament allowed the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations with Israel, but only if a number of conditions were met.
