Satellite images of the airfield covered with earth near Isfahan have been published
On April 14, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) posted satellite images of the runway of the airfield near Isfahan, which was covered with earth so that the United States could not use the air harbor.
The video shows burnt tracks and wreckage of destroyed American planes and helicopters. The Iranian military has built an earthen embankment around the remains of the equipment, which hides from prying eyes the work being carried out at the facility. Piles of earth are visible on the runway, which exclude the possibility of landing any aircraft on it.
"High-resolution satellite images from April 10 show two American C-130 special—purpose aircraft and several helicopters destroyed on a dirt runway near Shakhreza," the IRGC commented on the published footage.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) newspaper, citing a source, reported on April 5 that the US Armed Forces destroyed two of their own C-130 transport aircraft in Iran during an operation to rescue the pilot of a previously downed F-15E fighter jet. According to the source, the planes were destroyed directly on the ground. The source did not specify why the C-130 was blocked during the mission, but stressed that their elimination was a necessary measure.
On the same day, militiamen from the regions of Iran, where the search for the pilot of the downed F-15E fighter of the American Air Force was conducted, told the details of the ambush on search teams' helicopters. According to them, the aircraft operated at extremely low altitude.
