AvtoVAZ can equip cars with projection displays

AvtoVAZ is developing a new option for Lada cars — a projection display. The company's press service told about this, specifying that the timing of the appearance of such a display on production vehicles has not yet been determined, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported on April 15.

A projection display is a system that projects key information (speed, navigation tips, signs) directly onto the windshield or a special slide—out panel. This allows the driver not to be distracted from the road, increasing safety. The image appears to "hover" over the hood — usually at a distance of several meters from the eyes.

AvtoVAZ also recalled that some Lada cars already have a full-fledged digital instrument cluster, which displays navigation and other information from the media system. Such models include Aura and Vesta. The company also noted that it will continue to develop the voice control function in Lada cars, which Iskra received in the form of a voice assistant "Alice".

Earlier that day, it was reported that AvtoVAZ had started accepting pre-orders for minivans and all-metal vans SKM M7. Large-scale assembly of cars is carried out at the VIS-Avto subsidiary, the first batch has already been assembled and will be sent to dealers in the near future.
