Oleg Sedov, Director of Development at Ruspoint, an expert on cybersecurity for the public, told how scammers use children to deceive the whole family.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, April 14, the expert noted that it is important not just to list threats, but to understand who is really at risk. According to him, the greatest danger is not posed by children and the elderly, but by those who are sure that nothing will happen to them: even advanced users and IT specialists often overestimate their security, which is what attackers use.

He also pointed out the problem of "different language" between adults and children: attempts at guidance do not work, but it is more effective to build a trusting dialogue without prohibitions so that the child is not afraid to share problems.

Of particular concern, he said, is the digital nihilism of teenagers — the belief that no one needs their data. The expert emphasized that even if a person is not a target, they can be used as an "entrance" to their loved ones.
