The forum "SMALL MOTHERLAND — THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA" will bring together government representatives from 89 regions

On April 20-22, Moscow will host the III All—Russian Municipal Forum "SMALL MOTHERLAND — THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA", a key event on the development agenda of the country's municipalities. This annual event, held on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, will bring together representatives of local governments to discuss strategies for the development of territories, share experiences and find solutions to improve the quality of life of citizens.

The Forum is organized by the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU) with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation. Representatives of the federal and regional levels of government, heads of municipalities, heads of Councils of municipal formations of regions, employees of municipal enterprises, representatives of CBT will gather at the site.

The business program includes panel discussions, educational lectures, master lectures and strategic sessions. In direct dialogue with federal experts, representatives of municipalities will discuss various issues: economic development, infrastructure, social sphere, cultural unity, preservation of traditional values and other areas. Among other things, the participants will discuss a new philosophy of twinning in the era of multipolarity, specific mechanisms for cooperation with cities of foreign countries.

April 20 at the National Center "Russia" (Moscow, Krasnopresnenskaya emb., 14, p. 18)

• Master lecture "People's Program: the role of the United Russia Party in the socio-economic development of the country";
• Twin Cities Forum for the Development of Humanitarian and Economic Cooperation;
• The festival of Cultures "The Heart of the Motherland", dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

On April 21 at the Live Arena (Moscow region, Odintsovo district, Novoivanovskoye, Zapadnaya str., 145):

• The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and laureates of the III All-Russian Municipal award "Service";
• The exhibition "BIG DECISIONS OF A SMALL HOMELAND", where the best practices and concrete results in the economy, transport and social sphere will be presented.

April 22 at the Timiryazev Center (Moscow, Verkhnyaya Alley, 6, building 1):

• The Parks EXPO Forum on landscaping and creating a comfortable urban environment.

"For the third year in a row, the All—Russian Municipal Forum "SMALL MOTHERLAND - THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA" unites municipalities to share best practices. Representatives of the municipal community will come to the capital as part of the celebration of Local Government Day in order to find common solutions that will allow the development of territories and improve the quality of life of people. Traditionally, on April 21, the Forum will host an award ceremony for the winners and laureates of the All-Russian Municipal Service Award, established by the President of Russia. It is important to understand that behind every project there are professionals who love their municipality, and their tremendous work on the land! The Service Award is a recognition of their contribution and an incentive to scale the best solutions for the whole of Russia," said Irina Guseva, member of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for the Development of Local Self—Government.

In 2026, 63,397 applications were received for the Award in 11 nominations. The popular vote stage of the Award for projects from the top 110 was held from March 2 to April 6 on the Public Services portal. In it, Russians cast 1,660,394 votes for initiatives that make life better— which is 1.5 times more than last year. At the same time, the most votes — 270.9 thousand — were given for projects in the nomination "Unity of the peoples of Russia — the strength of the country. It was proposed to introduce it by representatives of the municipal community themselves. According to the results of the Popular Vote, 40 winners and laureates will be awarded.
