The Lada Yashma trademark has been officially registered in Russia. Information about this appeared on April 14 in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), an audit of Izvestia showed. It is possible that in the future this name may be used for a new Lada model.

The Lada Yashma trademark is registered under the "automotive" class 12 of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICTS), as well as under class 28, which includes toys. The copyright holder is not specified in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated September 2, 2024.

The application for registration of the Lada Yashma trademark was submitted to Rospatent in February 2025, along with Lada Ariva, Lada Yarus, Lada Parus and Lada Tigris. The last two were registered in March of this year.

Earlier, on February 19, it was reported that AvtoVAZ had applied for trademark registration "It is possible, but why?" This phrase became a meme after an interview with Oleg Grunenkov, Director of Products and Programs at AvtoVAZ, was published online. Later, on April 10, the Moskvich automobile plant in the capital submitted an application for registration of the trademark "It is possible if necessary!"
