Guard Private Alexander Grachev, as part of the D-30 howitzer crew, was providing fire support to Russian attack aircraft and motorized infantry when he noticed an approaching FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the air. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of the special military operation on April 14.

Grachev warned the crew of the approaching threat and opened fire on the drone with standard weapons. The FPV drone was shot down on approach and caused no damage to either equipment or personnel.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the courage and determination of the guard of Private Nikita Kulemin, who participated in the offensive as part of the assault group and identified the location of the firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

When the enemy launched a counterattack, Kulemin promptly took up a firing position and attacked the enemy. He managed to thwart the Ukrainian Armed Forces' plan and prevent a counterattack.
