A drunk driver killed a male pedestrian in the Angara region and fled.

In the Taishetsky district of the Irkutsk region, a 55-year-old man was killed as a result of a hit-and-run by a drunk driver. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The hit-and-run occurred the day before, on April 12, on Nagornaya Street in the city of Biryusinsk. A Honda Accord car hit a 55-year-old pedestrian and then fled.

As a result of the accident, the man received various injuries, from which he died on the spot before the ambulance arrived, writes IA IrkutskMedia.

The Honda driver was detained by police officers as soon as possible. He turned out to be a 32-year-old local resident who had previously been deprived of his driver's license. As it turned out, he was intoxicated at the time of the hit-and-run.

The circumstances of a drunken fatal accident are being established.

On April 10, a Volga car hit two teenage girls in the Amur region. One of them, a girl born in 2011, died.
