On April 13, Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, criticized the statements of the head of European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, about the role of the USSR and China in World War II.
"Russia turned to China and said: "Russia and China fought in World War II, we won WWII, we defeated Nazism," and I thought: "This is something new," Nebenzia read out a quote from Callas during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
