Anastasia Samoilova, a family doctor, endocrinologist, preventive integrative medicine doctor, nutritionist and nutritionist, explained why not everyone manages to lose weight.

In conversation with aif.ru On Monday, April 13, she noted that many people strive to lose weight quickly in the spring, but only a small percentage of people actually achieve results. According to her, the reason often lies not in willpower, but in hormonal disorders, primarily insulin resistance, in which the body reacts worse to insulin and begins to accumulate fat.

The expert explained that with an increased level of insulin, the body perceives the situation as an excess of energy and continues to make reserves, even if a person reduces caloric intake. In such conditions, strict diets can have the opposite effect: the stronger the restrictions, the more actively the body accumulates fat.

Samoilova stressed that effective weight loss requires an individual approach and examination by a specialist. She added that only comprehensive work — with nutrition, physical activity, sleep patterns and hormone control — allows you to achieve sustainable results and not harm your health.

On the same day, nutritionist Anastasia Lebedeva pointed out the hidden dangers of "healthy" desserts. According to her, such treats can be very high in calories and not contribute to weight control. You should be especially careful with smoothie bowls, notes 360.ru . The expert recommended studying the composition of products and controlling portions, writes RT.

In March, pediatrician-immunologist, MD, Professor Andrey Prodeus revealed the main secrets of effective weight loss. According to him, for this you need to eat five times a day, but in small portions. The serving volume should be 250-300 ml, that is, one glass, writes NSN.

Also in March, nutritionist, nutritionist, therapist Anna Belousova in an interview with Pravda.Ru said that weight can increase even with reduced portions, if the diet remains unbalanced and the body begins to experience a deficiency of important nutrients. According to Belousova, too small portions reduce energy levels, which decreases physical activity and slows down the process of weight loss.

Earlier, endocrinologist and nutritionist Maria Matveeva told the Moscow city News agency that severe weight loss in a short time, in particular, rapid weight loss before the holidays, can lead to baldness or the development of gastritis. Adequate weight loss is 5-10% of body weight in three to six months.
