Almost 600 people suffered from tick bites in the Tyumen region

Since the beginning of the warm season in the Tyumen region, 570 people have suffered from tick bites. Cases of infection with tick-borne infections have not yet been identified.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, 162 children are among the victims. All citizens received emergency prophylaxis with immunoglobulin, writes the news agency " <url>".

More than 32 thousand residents of the Tyumen region have already been vaccinated against encephalitis, including 11 thousand citizens whose work is associated with an increased risk of ticks. In addition, in April and May, acaricide treatment of public recreation areas, school territories, kindergartens and other facilities will be carried out in the region.

Ticks have become more active in a large part of Russia. In April, the number of ticks brought to the laboratory for research increased by 61% compared to March. Most of the bites were registered in the Urals, in the Central and Volga Federal Districts.
