A criminal case has been opened in Murmansk over an accident that killed a female pedestrian. Inspectors are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

According to the Bi-port news agency, on the morning of April 12, the 68-year-old driver of a Honda car, while driving along Akademika Knipovich Street, ran over a woman who was crossing the road. It is known that the accident occurred in the area of an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

The woman was seriously injured. She died in an ambulance.

Within the framework of the criminal case, examinations have been appointed that will assess the condition of the car and the driver, as well as examine the scene of the accident.

Over the weekend, 442 road accidents were recorded on the roads of Russia, in which 65 people were killed and 534 injured.
